What is School Training?

Many governments, including the Government of India, have mandated that schools create inclusive learning environments due to the increasing prevalence of neurological conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficiency Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Psychological Phobias, and Cognitive Developmental Issues. These conditions affect over 80 crore children and individuals of all ages across more than 230 countries, making it a global concern.

The key focus of teacher training is to equip educators with the necessary knowledge about these disorders, enabling them to empower and support children facing these neurological challenges within the classroom.

Why School Training?

Teachers who undergo comprehensive training in understanding neurological conditions possess the potential to significantly contribute to their school’s environment. With 1 in every 39 boys being diagnosed with Autism and a considerable number facing other neurological conditions or learning disabilities, the need for additional support from educators is evident.

When teachers are equipped with knowledge about various neurological conditions and the specific needs of children affected by these conditions, they can implement inclusive teaching methodologies. This approach fosters an inclusive learning environment, empowering students to thrive within the mainstream society.

Through specialized training, teachers can effectively cater to diverse needs, making their school’s inclusivity a standout feature. Moreover, this proactive approach aligns with government policies, ensuring compliance while enhancing the overall educational experience for all students.
