The Interdisciplinary Autism Team at Vr Speech And Hearing Clinic conducts a comprehensive evaluation for Autism Spectrum Disorder. The assessment duration ranges from 1 to 4 hours, catering to the individual needs of each child.
The process involves an interview and a review of provided documentation. Formal and informal assessment tasks are conducted during the session. Post-evaluation, clients can anticipate receiving their report within a couple of days.
Autism therapy procedure
Children attend 45-minute daily therapy sessions for 5 days a week at our facility, excluding public holidays. The initial 10 therapy sessions focus on establishing emotional connections with your child. Our therapists collaborate with you to set speech goals, whether monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, or yearly, based on your child’s current speech level and the selected program.
We believe in the effectiveness of long-term courses, likening monthly goals to a visit to an RMP (Registered Medical Practitioners) doctor for first-aid, while year-long therapy courses resemble having a dedicated family physician who addresses ongoing needs rather than temporary solutions.
