कानाची काळजी काशी घ्याल ?

सर्दी झाल्यास डॉक्टरांकडे जा. सर्दीचा आणि कानाच्या विकाराचा जवळचा संबध आहे. सर्दी झाल्यानंतर कफ नाकावाटे साफ होत नसेल व कानाच्या आत साचून राहिला असेल तर कालांतराने तो कानामध्ये साचतो. त्यामुळे नाकावाटे सर्दी वाहून नेणाऱ्या नलिकेवर दाब येतो. त्याचा संसर्ग कानात होऊन कानफुटीचा त्रास होतो.
कान स्वच्छ करताना कानामध्ये
कोणतीही टोकेरी वस्तू, पिना, गाडीची चावी घालू नका.
कानामध्ये तेलांचे थेंब, गरम पाणी, तेलात उकळलेला लसणाचा द्रव घालण्याचे प्रकार थांबवा.
कर्णकर्कश्श आ‍वाज होत असलेल्या ठिकाणी वावरू नका.
कानावर जोरदार आघात होत असलेल्या ठिकाणी जाऊ नका.
ध्वनीप्रदूषणाने कानावर ताण येत असेल तर डॉक्टरांकडे वैद्यकीय तपासणी करून घ्या. कानाच्या पडद्याला जर जखम झाली असेल किंवा छिद्र पडले असेल तर कानात आवाज येतो. कान दुखणे, कान जड झाल्यासारखा वाटणे, कानाची मागची बाजू दुखणे इ. लक्षणे आढळल्यास डॉक्टरांशी संपर्क साधावा.

प्रवासादरम्यान कानात कापसाचे बोळे घालून ठेवा, अतिउष्ण तसेच अतिथंड हवेत जाताना काळजी घ्या.
कानात पाणी घालू नका, कान स्वच्छ राहतील, असे पहा.
डॉक्टरांकडे जाऊनच कान स्वच्छ करून घ्या.
मोठ्या आवाजाच्या गाड्या चालवणे तसेच सतत फोन किंवा मोबाइलवर बोलत राहणे, वॉकमन, आयपॅड, मोबाइलचे इअरफोन लावून मोठ्या आवाजात गाणी ऐकणे टाळा.
स्टेशनवर ट्रेनच्या कर्णकर्कश्श आवाज सतत कानावर पडल्यामुळेही कानाची श्रवणक्षमता उत्तरोत्तर कमी होत जाते.
श्रवणक्षमता कमी होण्याचे पहिले लक्षण म्हणजे व्यक्ती मोठ्याने बोलू लागते. अशा व्यक्तींनी सहा महिन्यांतून एकदा कानाची तपासणी करून घ्यावी.
कान साफ करताना वापरल्या जाणाऱ्या साधनांमुळे मळ निघण्याऐवजी आतच ढकलला जाण्याची शक्यता जास्त असते. त्यामुळे कानातील मळ आत सरकत थेट कानाच्या पडद्याला चिकटण्याची शक्यता असते. कानाचा पडदा अतिशय नाजूक असल्याने त्याला थोडा जरी स्पर्श झाला तर कान दुखतो. तसेच मळ काढण्यासाठी अशा वस्तूंच्या वापरामुळे कानात इजा होण्याचीही शक्यता असते.
मळ काढण्यासाठी रात्री झोपताना कानात डॉक्टरांच्या सल्ल्याने ड्रॉप्स घालावेत. त्यामुळे कानातला मळ बाहेर येण्यास मदत होते. सकाळी वर आलेला मळ चांगल्या प्रतीच्या बड्सने हलकेच बाहेर काढावा. रस्त्यांवर कानातल्या मळ काढणाऱ्यांकडून कान स्वच्छ करून घेण्याचे प्रकार बंद करा.
कानात मळ साचल्याने कान चावतो किंवा आतून खाज आल्यासारखी वाटते. अशा वेळी हाताची बोटे, पेन किंवा पेन्सिल कानात घालण्याची सवय अनेकांना असते, ती टाळा. पाण्यात पोहणाऱ्या व्यक्तींनी कानातले पाणी काढणे गरजेचे असते. कान व्यवस्थित साफ करून कान कोरडा ठेवणे आवश्यक आहे. कानात पाणी साचून राहिल्याने, घामाच्या धारा कानात जाऊन मळ साचण्याची किंवा कानात बुरशी होण्याची शक्यता असते. त्यामुळे कान कोरडा राहील याची काळजी घ्यावी.
